Well we finally made it across the States! Coast to coast on our Contiki tour which was great fun, with lots of memories, new friends and 22 states crossed!
We've just left LA now and have some mixed impressions from it, pockets of the city are amazing like Santa Monica and Beverly Hills, but getting around was such a pain it kind of spoiled the fun, but we did go into it expecting that so we were well prepared and still had a great time.
Some highlights; Venice canals, the Promenade at Santa Monica, the Universal Studios tour when Jaws jumped out of the water (hilarious!), delicious cheap & fresh In 'n' Out burgers, cruising around in our car in Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Hollywood Hills & Mulholland drive just kickin' it, Sprinkles cupcakes (they have a cupcake ATM!), lying in the sun in the Getty centre gardens, going to a Dodgers baseball game (yes that is a hotdog topped with macaroni & cheese!), and just seeing all the cool spots from tv and movies was fun.
We've still got a week left to go in the great state of California and in America so will update on that as we are leaving.
